Introduction
Carnelian is a translucent to opaque stone of yellow, orange, red, black and brown chalcedony and quartz. It can be found in South Africa, Brazil, USA, Indonesia and etc. Carnelian is also closely connected to the Egyptian Sun God, Ra and the Blood of Isis. It was used by the Ancient Egyptians for protection.
Properties
You will find so much strength within yourself when you work with the Carnelian. It turns on so much energy circulating in your blood around your body, you could almost feel it travelling through your veins. You feel almost heavier than usual because there is this sense of need to sit down or to be hugged. If you are alone, trying wrapping yourself in a blanket when you work with the Carnelian. You will feel safe and even more so, in the arms or hands of another person whom you trust to do this healing exercise with. This openness will release the stresses in your body and help you to talk freely about your past to someone. If you had experienced any form of abuse, be it physically, mentally or emotionally... the Carnelian will ask of you to confront them instead of pushing it back down with unhealthy behaviors that will either cause you to forget or to block those feelings out of your system. You may struggle with your thoughts and emotions in this journey, as you find yourself going back and forth of looking for something or someone to blame for the misfortune that had happened to you. In this moment, take deep breaths into your belly and let it out slowly to recentre yourself. Calm yourself down and remove your need to find someone to hold accountable for that incident. Remember to eat your meal of the day before working with the carnelian but should you feel hungry during this exercise, I want you to hold back and drink water instead. Keep doing this until you found yourself getting over the idea of filling up your tummy with food to replace unhappiness or uncomfortable topics.
