Smudge Fan

Smudge Fans have been used for centuries as a way to cleanse oneself, one space, and obstructions. Smudging is the ceremonial act of burning sacred herbs in order to allow the smoke to bless and cleanse. The most popular smudging plants are sage, sweetgrass, and cedar. Smudge Fans are especially useful to direct the smoke exactly where you need it without filling up the entire room.

This Smudge Fan is an in-house design made with feathers from parrots that were ethically sourced. The feathers are naturally beautiful, but they may not look perfect because the birds were not harmed in the process of collecting them. The fan is 30cm long and 12cm wide at its widest point. The handle is wrapped in wood, rope, and cloth.
